-The Red Lotus Temple Message Board-

The Order of the Red Lotus Temple has openly taught martial arts, health exercises, and Buddhism since 1991 starting in Mid-Ohio.  Since that time, we have extended into Maryland and 3 schools across Ohio.  Both martial arts and Buddhism are vehicles of self transformation, empowerment, and bridges to unify the mind and body as one.  The Temple's philosophy is one which stands to help those in need who desire to transform their lives with these tools.  Each individual's potential is taught to surface through the martial disciplines as well as with the teachings of the Lord Buddha.  This website is a dedication to perpetuate the teachings and traditions of the Red Lotus Order.

The Temple is under directorship of Reverend Alan Cicco.

The Martial Arts and Health Exercises of the Temple are based off Chinese and Tibetan.  Students learn all forms of skill needed in self defense as well as self discipline.  We offer various days through the week for group classes and private lessons too.  Just follow the links above to  martial arts, days available, and prices.

Buddhism began in India, 5th century BC, arising out of the teachings of Shakyamuni Gotama, an India prince.  Through intense meditation, study, and life altering experiences, he founded the Path of practice which has become one of the 5 main world "religions" of modern day.  Though it is called  Buddhism, it was originally called the Middle Way (between extremes of self denying asceticism and hedonism or worldliness).  This Path later evolved to grant practitioners a multifaceted approach to their spiritual and religious life with a basis not in fanaticism nor dogma.

Please take a little time to read through the above links to see the full scope of our practices and philosophies.  Our Buddhist & meditation practices are open and free to the public. All are
